A radio play created by the CBS Radio Workshop at the height of it's sophistication, before it was obliterated by the rise of television. You get the score alone, as well as the whole play with bumpers, amazing foley work, score, several consummate radio actors & Huxley himself as narrator. Given only organ & percussion to work with because of the budgetary constraints of radio, Hermann slays with a tense, sparse score full of ingenious arrangement twists. The sound effect of a roomful of babies getting an electric shock as part of their conditioning certainly brought a smile to these lips.
